Lopez Family Portraits

This past summer I had the privilege of shooting portraits for a wonderful family who was recently reunited after the parents had spent a few years serving an LDS mission.

It was the largest family shoot I had done up to that date. But I was very excited for the challenge and learning opportunity.

When taking large family portraits, always be sure to put your best foot forward. With large groups as this one, and especially with small children, the last thing the photographer wants to do is worry about an adult being too goofy and ruining photos for the rest of the family. While I always encourage people to show me their personality so I can capture it with my camera, being overly cheesy and goofy is bad policy when taking pictures with a large group of people.

Check out some of my favorite shots.
